RE: MyBB SEO 1.0 Beta!
Hello Pacifier. Excellent plugin you have there. Works perfectly.
Although I have some suggestions:
1. Why the uppercase letters in the URLs? They look weird.
2. Why the forum and topic identifier numbers at the end of the URL? I realise two topics with the exact same title may cause problems but there should be a cleaner solution.
I realise implementing the above two suggestions will make the plugin behave exactly like vbSEO but it would make your plugin the only AND best SEO plugin for myBB.
Could any other member tell me how to accomplish the above, in case Pacifier is busy?

windrider, The first suggestion you gave will be implemented in the next version of SEO Plugin (early-mid January). About the second suggestions, there can't really be a cleaner solution than that. Even if we include forum names in the URL, it still will be a problem because same forum can also have duplicate topics. Other than that, it will have MAJOR performance effect putting much more strain on the MySQL server and using more disk space as well.

Ah I see your point. Cool that you'll be doing the first suggestion.
But how is vBSEO able to do it then? Must be some sneaky coding.
Also, how about this?
1. f21 instead of f-21
2. t24-2 instead of t-24-2
It would look slightly better.

Sorry about double post but couldn't find the edit button.
I notice that when you go into a topic the forum and subforum names that the topic comes under is removed. I realise that it is simply to make the URL shorter but it'll be nice to have them too. So I suggest an option in the plugin that lets the user choose whether to have the full URL or not.

Quite possible.... yeah, that shall be better.

So you would like to have /f5/topic-name-500.html , like the vbSEO?

/forum-name-f5/topic-name-500.html would be really nice but you should consider making it optional so that your users will chose whichever they prefer.

1. Make sure your web host supports mod_rewrite. If you are unsure, ask them.
2. Confirm the .htaccess file exists in the root folder of the forum.

RE: MyBB SEO 1.0 Beta!
I emailed technical support and got this response:
Thank you for contacting us.
We do support "mod_rewrite" function since it uses Apache 1.2 and later.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
So, it does. Are there any other suggestions as to how to make it work?
