RE: SpiceFuse AJAX Shoutbox Beta for MyBB!

Thanks, ethernet. I like the new uninstall function Smile

I guess the only reason to keep the

Code:
<sf_shoutbox>

part as manual input is because then you have the flexibility of placing it on the index page, *or* at the footer (below the board) of every page (as per the original installation instructions) so I think it's probably important to include the shoutbox.js automatically, but the flexibility of positioning the shoutbox might be a wee bit compromised. (I personally use it on the top of the index page, but just in case others don't.)

Small bug: Ethernet's version works fine for me, except I still get the "Loading..." message when I delete a shout unless I reload.

Still, a big thank you to et65 and ethernet for the work you've both done!

RE: SpiceFuse AJAX Shoutbox Beta for MyBB!

it works fine for me heres how to fix it

uninstall it

revert headerinclude back to default

install it again

the loading part which never loads it part of the javascript which located in the headerinclude template by reverting it, it will clean the lot up

if u move the <sf_shoutbox> in the index it will deactivate fine because it searches for that on deactivation

also i dont think its needed in global waste resources of sql

and if u want it at the footer just move it above {footer} in the index template will work fine and deactivation wont be a problem with it

RE: SpiceFuse AJAX Shoutbox Beta for MyBB!

Thanks for the update! Smile Both versions work well for me actually.

However, I was wondering: Although I've left the default settings so that guests can see the shoutbox, it doesn't seem to be showing up for them. ^^

EDIT: Clicking on 'Save Settings' in the Configuration panel fixed everything!

p/s: Hope Pacifier and ethernet will consider working together somewhat for the next (final?) version of Spicefuse! Smile

RE: SpiceFuse AJAX Shoutbox Beta for MyBB!

i've fixed up many bugs from beta 1.1 for mybb 1.4

Mybb spicefuse shoutbox beta 3 (skipped beta 2 because thats i was doing testing with)

Fixed Features

Dropping the table
The Rebuilding settings
Full shoutbox now not returning sql error

New Feauters

Mybb 1.4 Install function back in
Placed an auto insertation into the index (if u wanna move it global remove it from the index and place it in the header) (its set to search and remove from the header also in deactivation)

download

Upgrade Instructions from beta 1

1. deactivate plugin
2. go into phpmyadmin and drop sf_shouts
3. upload the new plugin file
4. Install and activate

Full credits to Pacifier for the structure and programming of shoutbox
i do not claim any ownership of it i just helped fixed and maintain it
