YOu mean the latest beta version. I did. that's the one that only is loading.

deactivate or uninstall (if your using one of my releases of shoutobox)

clean up all templates to do this includes
remove the <sf_shoutbox> from your header and index
revert the headerinclude back to default

activate or install again

see if that fixes it

if it doesn't fix it, contact your webhost because its something to do with the php configuation with your host

Just a quick note to say that the issue was resolved in this case by uploading the javascript file(s)

same problem, w8ing for any solution...

If you have problems with the characters, you should convert your shotbox files to utf-8 (i.e.: with editplus).

you should also check the mybb_sf_shouts table and inside whether the shout_msg's collation is set to utf-8 or whatever encoding you need.


I would also have a question. Is it possible to display the shoutbox on every page?

It only works for MyBB 1.4 now. Read the first post and then visit this page : http://web.archive.org/web/2008012113152...-t-69.html .. You'll have to download the older shoutbox and follow the instructions on that page.

I need to run shoutbox on mybb 1.2.13 because language pack 1.4 for my language isn't ready yet...
Is there othe places in which download older versions?

Um, word filters don't work in the shoutbox. They work everywhere else on the forums, but the shoutbox ignores them.
