Suggestion for SEO mod.
It would be cool to have the URL's like this
site.com/forum/sub-forum/thread-name-t-t#.html ?
and to have a category/forum appear like this
site.com/forum/sub-forum ?
I know some people say it is a problem becuase of the way MyBB does images but use the full URL and that problem is over. So would it be hard? I am very interested in getting my URL's like that.

RE: Suggestion for SEO mod.
That's a nice suggestion but from SEO perspective that isn't really needed. I mean, you will get the same ranking without using such URLs but adding few more lines of code here and there affects the performance. Let's see how many people want it. If the demand increases, I will make the changes (although it shall decrease performance..).

RE: Suggestion for SEO mod.
OK thanks, but would it be hard just to do it for myself? What would I have to edit? The .htaccess and the plugin or just one? While I know it may hurt performance I am running a very small site. The only reason I think it may help is there is a plugin for Vbulletin (vbSEO) and it does that and it seems to help alot. But if it is too hard I understand. Thanks for the great mod.

RE: Suggestion for SEO mod.
Actually that's a bit lot of work to get it that way. The mode will have to dive into a lot of places to replace mybb's traditional urls as well. So this isn't something that can be easily done.
Ok, I understand how it can make a bit difference. It does so by adding more keywords in the url as:
http:// spicefuse.com/Suggestion-for-SEO-mod-t-7.html
Becomes:
http:// spicefuse.com/MyBB-Mods-and-Plugins/Suggestion-for-SEO-mod-t-7.html
While we can say it can help a bit, it can also (and should) have some negative impacts when google detects it as "keyword stuffing" in the URL and automatically adjust rankings based on that factor. It's fine for topics and forums which don't have lengthy titles though.

RE: Suggestion for SEO mod.
I am glad somebody took the time to release it. Somebody else over at the official site was going to release one about a month or two ago and never did, so this is great. I am using this with a new site and I am going to totally SEO it.

RE: Suggestion for SEO mod.
Here's a suggestion. Here is how one free host has the seo urls setup and I think it would be a good fit to the mod:
http://video-game-chats.fullboards.com/mega-man-f67/mega-man-x-collection-possible-or-certifiable-spoilers-t256.htm
Note how it assigns the forum and thread a number.
